house of hope

volunteers

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others,

as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

1 Peter 4:10

At House of Hope we are deeply grateful for our volunteers. Without the community supporting us through gifts of their time, treasure and talent, House of Hope would not be here today.

There are many different ways to engage with House of Hope as a volunteer. Consider how much time you have to invest. Do you want a regularly scheduled activity, or would an occasional opportunity work best with your schedule? Would you like to be directly involved with the girls, or would you prefer to help with one of the many areas that do not require direct involvement?

Listed below are some volunteer opportunities and the documentation and training required for those areas. Please CLICK HERE for the Volunteer Application and other documents.

Thank you for your willingness to devote your resources to enriching the lives of the girls we serve. We at House of Hope believe that as we seek to bless others, we ourselves are blessed. We look forward to serving alongside you.

meal ministry

One of the important and needed resources is meal support. Gathering around the table for a home cooked meal promotes a sense of family for our residents. It nourishes their bodies and spirits. And as a community, it nourishes us.

As our program grows and our girls advance through their treatment, we are now working with them to train them how to prepare their own meals. You can support our efforts - and theirs! - by providing gift cards or cash gifts for local grocery stores and for local restaurants to supplement meal prep on an as-needed basis.

Some of these opportunities include beach trips, cultural outings, shopping trips and volunteer opportunities. In addition to House of Hope requirements, some of these outings may require additional training, i.e., Orientation for Humane Society volunteering.
